NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING POSEY COUNTY REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT WASTEWATER PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT

The Posey County Regional Sewer District will hold a public hearing at 8:00 A.M. CT on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Hovey House, 330 Walnut Street, Mt. Vernon, Indiana 47620. The District’s engineering consultant, Midwestern Engineers Inc., will present the recommended project, which will include construction of a wastewater collection system in and near the East Gate subdivision and along the S.R. 62 corridor to Mt. Vernon, the community of Stewartsville, and from North Posey High School to the Town of Poseyville. Short spur lines along the routes are proposed to connect unsewered residences. The project will be funded, in part, through a Wastewater State Revolving Fund (WWSRF) loan.

The required Preliminary Engineering Reports (PERs) are available for public viewing starting April 30, 2024 through May 20, 2024 at the District’s website, https://www.pocorsd.com/ .

There will be the opportunity for questions and comments from the public at this meeting. Written comments from the public will be accepted through May 20, 2024.
